Netflix
During holidays Netflix was releasing their Gift Cards. It was a great solution for those people who don´t know what to give as present, since we all love Netflix content. It had to be released in four different markets (Germany, USA, Canada and México).
We created “The Worst Gifter“ campaign. “The Worst Gifter“ was an animated short film that told the story of a guy like you and me, but with one problem: all the gifts he makes ends in tragedy. But this course ends when he finds the only present that fits for every person: the Netflix Gift Cards. After the video, we launched a promo in our social profiles: users were invited to share a picture of the worst gift they've received on holidays and the worst of the worst would receive a Netflix Gift Card as a compensation and act of justice.
The animation was viewed over 1.5 million times and provided users a different experience for a new product launch. By developing an animated piece of content and creating a character around the gift card launch, we were able to take a single idea into 4 different markets with 4 different levels of maturity.
